The Role

120Feet is expanding and we’re recruiting for a business analyst to help drive our clients’ success by helping us to deliver effective optimisation and experimentation programmes for our clients.

The business analyst shall be responsible for driving and shaping experiment plans, gathering requirements and preparing deliverables to brief developers and stakeholders, thereby ensuring timely and high-quality production of experiments.

Working with multiple clients across a spectrum of business verticals, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain significant and broad experience, and embark on your progression to a senior Experimentation role as the company grows.

 

Responsibilities

Experiment Plan Development

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and functions to gather, interpret and simplify requirements enabling the definition of experimentation plans.
  • Create comprehensive journey maps to understand user scenarios thoroughly.
  • Provide essential components of system design, business rules, performance measures and other relevant deliverables.
  • Identify technical or process feasibility issues to inform the experiment plan, seeking mitigations and solutions with relevant stakeholders and solution architects.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with experiments in consultation with stakeholders.

 

Brief Developers

  • Transform experiment plans into developer briefs through the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Liaise directly with development team and ensure satisfactory playback of outcomes and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop appropriate test cases that verify the fulfilment of acceptance criteria.
  • Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders for additional requirements gathering.
  • Prepare developer briefs and facilitate sessions with the client’s development teams to facilitate the productionisation of experiment outcomes.

 

Manage the Process

  • Drive the continuous discovery process in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring that experiment plans are ready for development within defined timelines.
  • Facilitate design sessions with UI, technical architects, development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Manage the experiment development pipeline effectively.
  • Facilitate functional and user acceptance testing as required.

 

Skills and Experience

  • An understanding of process modelling.
  • Experience with agile and kanban software development methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively interpret results.
  • Exceptional organizational and efficiency skills.
  • A solution-oriented mindset.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of requirement specifications.
  • Experience in defining process flows and writing use case scenarios, user stories, and acceptance criteria (preferably in Gherkin format).
  • Familiarity with optimization platforms such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, A/B Tasty, etc (considered an asset).
  • Knowledge of web technologies, including CSS, HTML, and JS APIs (favourable).
  • Prior experience in UX/UI (considered a significant asset).

 

Location

The role will mostly be delivered remotely from your home.

Onsite time with clients will be required from time-to-time.  This will vary depending on individual client preferences.  Typically, there will be onsite quarterly reviews with each client and some clients may also want a monthly visit too.
